On Wednesday, the Deputy PM attended the launch ceremony of the collateral registry. This is a kind of social scheme which will allow people to use their movable assets as collateral as they want. Earlier, some people were unable to use their farming produce, sewing machines, intellectual property rights etc as collateral registry, but now they can do so. The law passed in this regard last year, and now the registry is in place. It will benefit the middle class of the nation. No longer the registry will be available only to people who have houses, land and cash that can qualify for credit and loans.
