Jordan, Middle East: The Anti-Drug Administration has arrested 12 drug dealers and promoters during the conduct of seven quality cases, following which a further 20 wanted drug dealers were also arrested in Zarqa Governorate while carrying out a special security campaign.
As per the shared information, the spokesman in the name of the Directorate of Public Security said that the staff of the Drug Control Administration continued their intensive campaigns to track all forms of dealing with narcotic substances.
He added that seven quality cases were dealt with in the governorates of Aqaba, Warbad, the capital, Ramtha and Muferraq, during which 12 drug dealers and drug promoters were arrested and seized large quantities of drugs and firearms.
“In Aqaba Governorate, two cases were dealt with; firstly, a drug dealer was arrested with 30 thousand pills, while in the second case, two promoters were arrested with 11 pallets of cannabis”, noted the officials.
Furthermore, in the Ramtha brigade, three drug dealers of Arab nationality were raided, and they were arrested and seized with them 67 pallets of cannabis and 7000 narcotic pills. They also raided the house of one of the promoters, and he was arrested and accompanied by two others and seized with their possession 2 kg of crystal substance and 250 grams of substance Cocaine, and a firearm.
Two cases were dealt with in the governorate of Al-Mafraq and Northern Badia. Firstly, a person of Arab nationality was arrested for possessing 1000 narcotic pills, while three automatic firearms and a number of narcotic pills were seized with another promoter after his arrest.
A drug raid took place in the capital’s governorate, and he was arrested and seized with 14 cannabis.
In the same context, the administration, with the support of Aldrk forces and the Zarqa Police Directorate, carried out an extensive security campaign in Zarqa Governorate against the people wanted for drugs, promoters and dealers, and the campaign was extended to arrest 20 of them.
