PM Roosevelt Skerrit reiterates his vision for Dominica’s development at DLP delegates’ conference

Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica reiterated his development vision at the Labour Party Delegates' Conference.

Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica reiterated his development vision at the Labour Party Delegates’ Conference.

In his address, he underlined that “our work is not over” and that he will continue to work hard for his beloved country.

PM Skerrit shared his future plan at the DLP delegates’ conference, which was held in the Vieille Case constituency on Sunday, November 11, 2024. He said, the Labour Party is committed to do hard work and bring significant change in the lives of citizens.

The Dominican leader welcomed everyone who wanted to join the party, stating, “The entry into the Labour Party is always open for all without any bias. Moreover, Labour House has no gate, window or fence to restrict entry of any citizen of Dominica.”

Further he shared the principles and ideology that are being followed by the Dominica Labour Party. According to the Prime Minister “Dominica Labour Party is not just a political organization rather a family deeply rooted in the history of Dominica. The collective efforts of all have brought us victories that play a vital role in improving our lives.”

In his address, PM Roosevelt Skerrit shed light on various projects being executed by the Labour government of Dominica to write a new, innovative history of the country. Additionally, he specifically mentioned about various projects, some of which have been completed and few are near completion.

“PM further stated that the construction work is in full swing for the rehabilitation of schools, houses and 11 health centers across the country. The Dominica China Friendship Hospital and the Marigot Hospital will be a breakthrough projects for citizens to receive affordable, world-class health services”, added PM Skerrit.

The Dominican leader also emphasized on some projects which includes the construction of a new Cruise Village at Woodbridge Bay, the Roseau enhancement project, the development of Cabrits Marina, the Cable Car Project and the Modern Cargo Port.

PM while sharing the details about the Cable Car Project he said, “the world’s longest cable car project “Dominica Cable Car” is being developed at Roseau Valley.”

The Prime Minister also urged the country’s youth to come forward and invest in the farming sector. He said the farming sector will be full of opportunities in the future and youth can reap the benefits of investing in it.
