Saint Lucia: SLP held a delegate’s conference

Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Philip J. Pierre's led SLP(Saint Lucia Labour Party) held a delegates conference. Confernce was held on Sunady 26th Novemebr,2023. The theme of the conference was “Moving Forward Together”. It was a closed-session conference for delegates.

This conference was held at the Beanfield Secondary School. Saint Lucia Labour Party is currently ruling the Caribbean nation Saint Lucia and holds 13 seats out of a total of 17 seats in the House of Assembly.

A few days ago, the party leadership announced to hold the delegation meeting, which finally culminated on Sunday. Moreover, on the occasion, Prime Minister Philip J Pierre received a hundred per cent vote of confidence. The delegation of the party cast their vote of confidence to the Prime Minister for the second time consecutively.

Saint Lucia Labour Party declared the decision on their social media handles and wrote that “At the SLP closed conference of party delegates held on Sunday 26 November, Political Leader and Prime Minister Philip J Pierre have received hundred Percent vote of confidence by the SLP delegates for the Second time in a row! We are moving forward together with our six-star general!!!”.

Notably, Prime Minister Philip J Pierre used to raise his political agenda on various platforms. On one Such Platform, he quoted that “Saint Lucia Labour party Does not believe in the politics of revenge or vendetta, our party believes that if we are united, we can heal our nation of mistreatment of former administration and politicians. The proof is in the pudding, with 18.1 per cent growth in the economy of Saint Lucia. let’s Not Fight with each rather work! Let’s move forward together !”.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minster Ernest Hilaire also took to his social media page on the delegates conference. He mentioned that “ today our SLP party hosted delegates conference for a 2023-closed session under the theme of “Moving Forward together” the Saint Lucia Labour Party is Committed to continuing work for the best interest of all the citizens of Saint Lucia. Putting you all first”.

It is worth mention that many social media users also congratulated and supported the Saint Lucia Labour Party .One User, Euline Alexander, commented that” Red looks Very Nice” another user, Canice Matthew, stated that “In Red All the time”.People said that this hundred per cent vote of confidence is a reflection of Prime Minister Philip J Pierre’s popularity.
