St Kitts and Nevis: The Police Department of St Kitts and Nevis has updated that 29-year-old Dequan Maloney of Mc Knight, who resided at Bird Rock, was found dead on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
As per the police investigation, Dequan Maloney, a resident of Bird Rock, was found dead between 10 pm to 11 pm. In addition, multiple explosive sounds were heard at his residence Morne Heights area by the nearby people, said reports.
St Kitts and Nevis police have conveyed that no reports or complaints of such incident were filed in the police station after the killing until 5 am the next morning on Friday, January 27, 2023; a report was received by the police of a body being found in that area.
The police officials stated that the emergency response team acted as soon as possible after the report was filed, and officers reached the location and found the lifeless body inside the truck of a motorcar.
Additionally, the investigations have revealed that the police officers of the emergency response team noticed several bullet wounds on the dead body of Dequan Maloney, which caused his death. “The apartment of Dequan Maloney was also thrashed and entered forcefully by the attackers, which ended in his death at a very young age”, said police investigation reports.
After the incident, the police investigating team acted through the protocol, did all the necessary formalities according to the incident, and transferred the dead body of 29-year-old Dequan Maloney to the nearest health care centre, where the District Medical Officer analysed the body and pronounced him dead.
In the end, Personnel from the Forensic Department of St Kitts and Nevis visited the crime scene, analysed the belongings and other items in that apartment, processed the scene, and collected items of evidential value said reports.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
