UAE records 288 new COVID infections

In United Arab Emirates, a total of fresh 288 cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported today, April 1, 2022, according to the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

Abu Dhabi, UAE: In United Arab Emirates, a total of fresh 288 cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported today, April 1, 2022, according to the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Prevention. This takes the total number of COVID-19 confirmed infections in the Middle East country to 891,588. 

The health ministry revealed that it had conducted a total of 295,915 COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours via state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

Along with new cases, a total of 830 individuals have been recovered from the contagious viral disease in the last 24 hours and have been discharged from the hospital facilities as of April 1, 2022. 

With this, the total number of COVID-19 recovered patients in the Middle East nation has increased to 868,492, as per the data shared by the health ministry.  

The data further cites that no additional COVID-19 related death has been recorded in the United Arab Emirates in the last 24 hours; thus, the overall number of COVID-19 infections remains at 2,302 as of April 1, 2022.  

COVID-19 vaccination rate of the country: 

Till now, there are a total of 9,890,202 citizens of the United Arab Emirates who have taken their at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines and are now in the category of partially inoculated population, representing around 100% of the total targeted population. 

On the other hand, there are a total of 9,613,276 individuals in the Middle East nation who have taken their required number of the COVID-19 vaccines and are now fully vaccinated against the virus, representing around 97.2% of the total population.

There are a total of 4,981,694 individuals who are fully vaccinated and have also taken their third dose, that is, booster jabs of the WHO-approved COVID vaccines. This number represents about 50.4% of the total targeted eligible population.
