US welcomes Indian students, values their contributions, says Christopher Elms

India: Christopher Elms, the spokesperson of the US (United States) Embassy in New Delhi, has commented on welcoming Indian Students to the US campuses and communities and stated that the US embassy values the contribution and benefactions they offer to their country.

As per the updates, Christopher Elms made his remarks following the upcoming annual alumn fair, scheduled to commence on January 21 at the American Center in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

In addition, Elms stated, “We welcome Indian students to the US and explore the opportunities and explore the diversifications which the US universities offer in educational terms“.

“The government of the United States welcomes the students from India, and the nation values the contributions and values that Indian students bring with themselves,” Elms added. 

“Both the nations have been sharing a longstanding relationship which is built on the foundation of exchange of knowledge rooted in Indian Students,” said a US embassy spokesperson.

Furthermore, on January 21, 2023, the US embassy and the United States India Educational Foundation (USIEF) will host the Education USA Alumni Fair at American Center, New Delhi. Representatives from the 28 accredited US universities and colleges will participate in the event. Said reports.

The reports have also stated that the event will provide Indian students with the opportunity to interact directly with current students at US universities and alums of US higher education institutes. 

“The participating students will get a chance to learn first-hand from the experiences of those who have attended and applied to universities across the United States.

Moreover, the students will also be facilitated to get information about the university application process, scholarships and funding from qualified advisers from the US education centre. The student’s visa process will also be explained to the students at the event, says Elms.

The Executive Director at USIEF, Adam Grotsky had, spoken before the event and stated that the previous students who have been studying in American universities and colleges are the citizen Ambassadors who have deep knowledge and experience of the studies in US education institutions and can provide accurate and deeply personal narratives of their academic observations.

In his remarks, Grotsky added that the students from India who seek a closer look and understanding of the US universities could benefit from the occasion as they will get to understand the scope, opportunities, challenges and returns that the US education holds for them.
