Pfizer vaccine doses dispatched by US to Egypt & Nigeria

As per the sources, 2,999,880 Pfizer doses have been dispatched to Nigeria, whereas a total of 2,158,650 doses have been shipped to Egypt, which will be arriving in the respective countries on Monday.

Cairo, Egypt: Around 5.2 million doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine has been shipped to Egypt and Nigeria by the government of the United States of America. White House officials noted that the US authorities dispatched the vaccines on Thursday, February 17, 2022, which are a part of the worldwide vaccine distribution campaign of the nation.

As per the sources, 2,999,880 Pfizer doses have been dispatched to Nigeria, whereas a total of 2,158,650 doses have been shipped to Egypt, which will be arriving in the respective countries on Monday.

America aims to disseminate around 1.1 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses to the needy nations, to support their fight against the deadliest mutant.

The official underscored while noting President Biden’s administration remains committed and very well understands that putting a full stop to the pandemic requires it to end globally, that is in every nation, following which the 1.1 billion targets have been set by the United States government.

Following the above-mentioned statement, the official stated, “The United States is leading the world in a global vaccine strategy because it is the right thing to do. It is the right thing morally, the right thing from a global public health perspective, and right for our collective security and well-being”.

Last year in the month of December, the Nigerian government destroyed over 1 million expired doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Vaccination statics of Nigeria and Egypt:

As per data, around 7.2% of the total targeted population of Nigeria are partially vaccinated by taking their doses of the COVID-19 vaccines, while about 2.6% of the total population is fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, in Egypt, nearly around 38.4% of the total Egyptian population has received their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and hence are partially vaccinated. On the other hand, around 28.1% of the total Egyptian population is fully inoculated.
