The season will start on June 21, with the longest day of the year, with around 14 hours of daylight.

As per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the daytime will be hot and partly cloudy. Relaxation will possibly come on Friday in the form of rainfall and a reduction in temperatures.

Astronomically, the summer solstice observes the beginning of the summer season.

The temperature has skyrocketed this month, with the last two days reporting around 50°C. But, due to the cloud-seeding operations, Al Ain and a few other parts of the nation witnessed some heavy rains during last week.

Schools will stay closed in July and August for the summer vacations. Travel demand rocketed during this period, with most immigrant families going back to their countries for holidays.

Dubai-based Emirates Airlines stated that it is readying for its busiest period, with around 550,000 customers predicted to fly out from the UAE during June and July.
