Jordan Red Crescent organise a training camp for Liaison officer

Amman: The Jordan Red Crescent Society recently held a seminar for the liaison officers. It was organised in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross. The objective of the training session was to enhance the emergency response skills of the liaison officers.

Amman: The Jordan Red Crescent Society recently held a seminar for the liaison officers. It was organised in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross. The objective of the training session was to enhance the emergency response skills of the liaison officers.

The two-day session was attended by the officers of the various branches. These branches included Kirk, Aman, Tafila, Madba, Balqa, Warbad, Ajlon, junction and the main centre. At least eleven volunteers participated in the seminar and expressed their satisfaction with the workshop.

It is to be specifically mentioned that this two-day session involved many training modules and exercises. All these activities and training modules were aimed at making the liaison officer familiar with the latest techniques and equipment to use in emergencies.

Training sessions also tell the officers about the various procedures that need to be implemented. These procedures need to be implemented before, during and after the sudden emergence of an emergency-like situation.

Speakers of the training session  also discussed the application of practical lessons for the liaison officers. They further added that the role of liaison officer has become indispensable in the present circumstances, so they must be capable enough to respond quickly in case of emergency.

Many of emergencies erupt from time to time, which includes earthquakes, droughts, tsunamis, thunderstorms, etc., and only well-trained activist and liaison officer can play their role actively. At the same time, it was also underlined that officers must be equipped with the latest and modern equipment.

At the end of the training session, participants of the session said that they were happy to attend this training session. The attendee also stated that such kind of a session
must be held in future too.

Participants also said that training sessions would boost and strengthen the capabilities and capabilities of the officers and volunteers of various branches.
