It emphasized that awareness and community responsibility are the first lines of addressing drowning accidents, following instructions, and safety guidelines and adhering to tips that incite positive behaviours for the safety of everyone.

It indicated that there are five guidelines that must be followed for the safety of children:

First, put a secure fence around the house pools so that children can’t enter them on their own, and the floor should be non-slip locked. The doors that lead to the pools should have fixed ladders and metal handles distributed around them.

Secondly, the parents are not busy with their phones or the virtual world while the children are swimming, indicating that in a few minutes, if they are not alert and close to children, a drowning accident may occur.

Third, wear swimming gear and provide children with collars, tools and life jackets while swimming.

Fourth, grade learning first aid parents, caregivers, older children and pool owners should learn how to perform drowning in CPR before the first aid teams arrive. 5th grade taught children water survival skills through swimming lessons and basic water safety skills, including how to stand in water and stay at the beach or near the pool’s edge.
