DUBAI EXPO 2020 authorities honour 50 most visiting attendees

The Dubai EXPO 2020 authorities awarded the 50 most enthusiastic and honest visitors on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Some of these EXPO 2020 attendees visited the fair more than 75 times since its commencement from the last year.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Dubai EXPO 2020 authorities awarded the 50 most enthusiastic and honest visitors on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Some of these EXPO 2020 attendees visited the fair more than 75 times since its commencement from the last year.

All of them were honoured and acknowledged for their continuous support of EXPO2020. The awarding ceremony took place at the Opportunity Forum, and a local influencer – Walid Al Musrati, was the host of the event, where each individual was given a trophy.

Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Co-operation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, while expressing gratitude to the 50 honoured attendees, said, “Thank you for standing with us in light of these conditions and the Covid pandemic, as an integral part of the Emirati family”.

Following the above statement, she then added, “We hope, God willing, that the Expo will be the source of your trust and appreciation and will leave you with unforgettable memories. I am truly thankful for you being with us in every stage of this journey that we have shared together”.

The recipients shared their experience and excitement over being honoured; one of them was – Suha Yahya, who said, “I can’t describe how I feel about this event. I have been to Expo more than 40 times. I had a season ticket. Expo 2020 is a positive place, full of joy and beautiful activities, where I learnt about new cultures and things I did not know before.”

Among the other recipient was Ahmed Al-Derai. He asserted, “Just visiting the Expo site every day is a gift to me. I am a fan of learning about cultures, and what I learned today will benefit me when I visit other countries. I would not have known all these things without Expo”.

The EXPO 2020 is on the verge to end but so far has received more than 10.8 millions of visitors.
