
Egypt, Middle East: The President of Ain Shams University in Egypt, Professor Mahmoud Al-Matini, has participated in the memorial ceremony for Professor Ahmed Imad El-Din Razi, Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Minister of Health.Â
The Department of Ortho Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, organized the memorial event on July 16th, 2023. On his part, Mahmoud Al-Matini, the university’s President, delivered his speech at the event offering condolences to the deceased’s family.Â
He emphasized that the late Ahmed Imad El-Din Razi was one of the flags of the Faculty of Medicine of Ain Shams University and the medical field in Egypt. President said he had a sense of humour, strength and ability to make decisions, which has been seen in all his positions.

He added that the late Professor Emad El-Din had clear footprints in the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, among which his role in obtaining the faculty of quality and the first accreditation when he took over the faculty’s agency. The former Minister of Health also had rich achievements when imitating him; the Dean of the faculty depended on successful thought and organized planning.
Also, the university’s President spoke about his achievements in the Ministry of Health, and his good relationship with his colleagues, claiming that the knowledge of the deceased and his works remain an ongoing charity. Surely, Ain Shams University and the Faculty of Medicine have all the love, gratitude, and appreciation.

In his speech, Professor Ali Al-Anour, Dean of the Faculty, said that it is difficult to mourn a loved one, referring to his strong relationship with the deceased that has lasted for years.
Professor Ahmed Emaduddin confirmed that he was loved by all who dealt with him and that he left useful knowledge and an ongoing charity. All his students who made the most of his knowledge will always remember him.
Furthermore, Professor Tariq Youssef, the executive director of the hospitals, spoke about his dealings with the late Ahmed Emad Al-Din, during which he touched upon the decisiveness of decision-making and the ability to create teams and leadership in the clinical field, and professors of the highest level in orthopaedics surgery may have trained him.
Late El Din Razi was also distinguished in administrative work and was present in hospitals. At the same time, he was a student of medicine and was able to lay ambitious plans for hospitals. “He led to that the idea of collecting operations and care came from him and was a racing idea, which evolved into the current system under the leadership of Professor Mahmoud Al-Matini”, said the college dean.
The deceased had leadership in international dissemination on several topics. They always relied on the team’s academic or administrative spirit, and he worked with many teams that today hold prestigious positions.
And he added that Ahmed Imad El-Din was not late to offer a helping hand and assistance to any party or person, and this day appeared in his obituary, where his fans bequeathed him with influential words known to him and in his memory.
He concluded his speech by wishing mercy for the deceased to make his professional and scientific career by balancing his good deeds and inspiring his family and patience. At the end of the funeral ceremony, the Shield of Honor presented by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery was presented to the family of the late Ahmed Emad Al-Din.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Professor Abdul Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, Professor Ayman Saleh, Vice President of The University for Higher Studies and Research Affairs, Professor Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development.
Along with them, Professor Ali Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Dr Tariq Youssef, Director The executive of hospitals, Professor Zahir Hassan, head of the department of orthopaedic Surgery and a few of the faculty members of the Faculty of Medicine and the family of the late Ahmed Emad Al-Din Razi, were present.
