Sheikh Mansoor announced restructuring boards of directors of Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club

President of Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club and Vice Chairman of the Club's Honor Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Minister of Presidential Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued directives to restructure the boards of directors of the Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club, the club's subsidiaries as well as Committee of the Board of Directors.

President of Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club and Vice Chairman of the Club’s Honor Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Minister of Presidential Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued directives to restructure the boards of directors of the Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club, the club’s subsidiaries as well as Committee of the Board of Directors.

The board of directors of the club was made under the membership of Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Executive Committee, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Saeed bin Abdullah bin Shaiban, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Rashid Ateeq Al Hamli, Tariq Ahmed Al Masoud, Sultan Dhahi Al-Hamiri, and Hamad Al-Hurr Al-Suwaidi.

The Al-Jazira club was launched in 1974 as a coalition between Al Bateen and Khaldiyah. The club struggled a lot to remain in the league, getting downgraded on several events during the period of 1980s and 1990s but also went through a recent success when Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan made an investment in the club in the 2000s.

Since he made the investment, they won their first league title in the year 2011 and another two league titles in 2017 and 2021. Al Jazira has produced homegrown talented players that are now known around the world, such as Khalfan Mubarak and Ali Mabkhout, among many others that would end up playing for the United Arab Emirates national team.

The Sports Club is located along Muroor Road with a big parking area and clean stadium. There is also a bowling centre, table tennis, swimming and many more amenities to enjoy.
