Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew –The Prime Minister and Minister of Health of St Kitts and Nevis, has invited the citizens of the Caribbean Island to participate in the Labour Weekend Celebration 2023. He shared the calendar for the events to be held following World Labour Day on May 1, 2023, commencing from April 21 to May 28, 2023.
Prime Minister Terrance Drew took to his official social media account to extend his heartiest invitation to the country’s residents. He encouraged his fellow St Kittians and Nevisians to register their presence during the upcoming series of events to celebrate World Labour Day, 2023.
Meanwhile, in his Facebook caption, he noted, “Labour Weekend Celebration 2023, Save the dates.” In addition, it is said that Prime Minister Terrance Drew, along with the other top government officials and ministers, will engage in the Pre-Labour Day meetings as well.
“The pre-labour meetings will hold discussions on uplifting the facilities and assistance to the labours and workers of the country, through enhancing the labour policies and regulations,” said the reports. Furthermore, the sittings will be commemorated in five stages in entirely different roles and motives from April 20 to April 30, 2023.
Moreover, Prime Minister of the twin island federation, Terrance Drew, also expressed his gratitude and thoughts regarding the celebrations of World Labour Day and Labour Weekend Celebrations scheduled to be held soon.
He stated that the government of St Kitts and Nevis has been working tirelessly to enhance the labour laws in order to provide better working conditions and equal rights to the labours and workers.
Through his Facebook post, PM Terrance Drew also shared the calendar of the events to be held in different places and venues in St Kitts and Nevis, which read as follows;
Pre labour Day meeting:
– Pre Labour-Day 1: C6 – April 20
– Pre Labour-Day 2: C7 – April 23
– Pre Labour-Day 3: C8 – April 27
– Pre Labour-Day 4: C1 – April 28
– Pre Labour-Day 5: C2 – April 30
Labour Weekend Celebrations, 2023
– On the block – the event will kick off on April 21 in Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis.
– Ms Labour Mini Motorcade – The event will be held on April 28 in Basseterre.

– Labour Queen Show – Carnival Village will be the venue for the labour queen show on April 29
– Wreath Laying Ceremony – The event will be held in Dieppe Bay, St. Pauls, St. Peters and Springfield on April 30.
– Labour Day Parade – The event for World Labour Day will commemorate on May 1 at the Patsy Allers Playing Field.
Additionally, the Labour Weekend Celebration 2023 will be concluded by the conferences, which will be held between May 20 to 21, 2023. During the end of the weekend, the Requiem Mass event will also take place on May 28, which will be joined by the top government authorities of St Kitts and Nevis.
