In view of the Dubai Police, these beggars arrive in the United Arab Emirates to play on the generosity of residents of the Middle East country.

The campaign initiated by the Dubai Police creates awareness among the population related to the dangers of begging. A similar kind of campaign was initiated the previous year, which resulted in the detention of at least 458 beggars.

Brigadier Jamal Salem Al Jallaf – the director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Dubai Police, speaking on the issue, updated that the police forces will boost their patrolling in the areas in which the beggars are most familiar with and frequently are present at those places.

The practice is linked to crimes like theft and pickpocketing“, Brigadier Al Jallaf, adding that there are several “accredited charities” in the United Arab Emirates for the ones who are in real need of help. He then requested the residents of UAE to provide their donations to these charities for assisting the needy people.

In addition to this, Dubai Police, on their official Twitter handle, shared a video, creating awareness related to e-crime. The tweet adds, “Online scams continue to vary and to educate yourself about them is the best way to prevent them. Check out these tips & tricks to help you stay one step ahead. #DPAwareness“.

“The methods of electronic fraud varied..beware of it And protect yourself from falling into the trap of electronic fraud by identifying the most common types and ways to address them. #وعيك_يحميك“.
