Jordan: The Prime Minister of Jordan, Bashar Al-Khasaouna, continues his series of field tours with a visit to the Al-Jafr District in the #Maan Governorate of the nation. 

He also announced the issuance of a decision of the Council of Ministers to correct the situation of agricultural lands and farms in the Al-Jafr region and the delivery of services to them.

According to the reports, Prime Minister, Al-Khasaouna, inspects the agricultural Al-Jafar project and emphasizes the importance of supporting it as a development opportunity that contributes to the service of Al-Jafr. 

In addition, in the implementation of the supreme royal directives, Prime Minister Dr Bashar Al-Khasaouna, on Wednesday, continued his series of lost field tours of service institutions and development projects, visiting Al-Jafr District in Maan Governorate.

The PM also began his visit to Al-Jafr by meeting with popular bodies and events from the people of Maan and the southern countryside. He listened to their demands and issues and urged concerned ministers to follow up and meet them as possible.

During the meeting, Al-Khasaouna said, “Ma’an, the southern Badiya, Al-Jafr and its people are the pride and support of the homeland and its Hashemite leadership throughout history,” confirming that the duty and responsibility of the government are to touch the needs of its people and their issues are the business of all governorates and regions of the kingdom.

Furthermore, during the meeting, the Prime Minister announced the issuance of a decision by the Council of Ministers to correct the situation of exploited lands for agriculture and farms in the Al-Jafr region in the Maan Governorate. 

Moreover, it also allows receiving of services from electricity, water, etc., in order to facilitate the people of the area and its children and enable them to fully invest in land, contributing to the service of living reality and growth.

The defence explained that the decision to correct the conditions of lands and farms in the Al-Jafr settlement would be by registering them in the name of the Treasury in accordance with the leasing and delegation of state property regulations. 

He pointed out that the lease contracts for these lands contain a clear and explicit condition that the lease is related to the completion of the settlement work, the ownership of these lands to the public Treasury of the state is applied at the time of the law of state property management, and if owned by other rights holders, the lease contracts and the status are expired.

Maan Governor Faisal Al-Semiran indicated in his speech that this second meeting is for the Prime Minister to head a ministerial team after the first meeting held in Maan, during which development projects serving the people of the province were launched.

He further confirmed that this visit by the Prime Minister to Al-Jafr Province in Ma’an Governorate comes as a translation of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s directions on field visits and touches on the needs of citizens on the ground.

In his turn, Senator Saleh Abu Tayeh emphasized the special position of Al-Jafar from His Majesty King Abdullah II, asserting that the visit of the Prime Minister and the ministerial team to Al-Jafr has been appreciated and a welcome place for the families to see the most important challenges they face and unemployment and poverty.

Representative Abu Tayeh demanded the delivery of electricity to unregulated houses and to polarize an investment for a garment factory to employ girls from the judiciary. 

He also demanded the digging of Artuazian wells, the distribution of land to the citizens, the increase of social responsibility of the big companies in the region and the support of the agricultural project.
