The Food Festival will be held from 1 to 3 December and from 8 to 12 December next to the main branch building of the company Amantel) in Irfan city in the capital Muscat.

The Food festival at Muscat includes various events, entertainment activities and performances. A play with the participation of elite institutions specializing in serving different types of local and international foods and foods organized by the celebration organization of Oman.

The fifth season of the Muscat Food Festival, the largest of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman, will witness food and entertainment, and cultural programmes from five regions of the world encompassing the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and America, with more than 80 chefs and institutions participating in the events and specializing in serving food.

Organizing an event (worldwide) is part of the festival organizers’ efforts to expand and develop by providing the opportunity to serve food from different parts of the world.

Participation in the Muscat Food Festival, with chefs presenting traditional and popular Omani dishes and dishes in an enjoyable festive atmosphere, where many competitions and accompanying entertainment events will be presented, various performances, parades and entertainment games dedicated to children, singing and musical performances, which include eating contests and exciting games for children and young people.

Shows across the world include (Jack and the Bean Tree), (Skirt), Spanish dance shows, Coldplay Band performances, African Acrobatic Leopards, Pirates and Princesses for kids, Thai dolls, UK duo shows, Bollywood and Bangra shows, hip hop, Chinese dragon, and heritage zaffa, which reflects Omani culture.

Events of the Muscat Food Festival are expected to see a good turnout during the 51st National Day Holiday, as the festival has established its place among the most prominent cultural and entertainment events, and the pre-season of the festival last year(2021) attracted more than 30 thousand visitors from all over Sultanate of Oman.

In efforts to support SMEs, several sector enterprises are participating in the Muscat Food Festival, offering various types of food, cooking shows and mobile food carts.

“The Ministry continues to support Muscat Food Festival as part of its efforts to revive the tourism movement, as the festival in its previous session, the festival affirmed its ability to attract thousands of visitors from different parts of the Sultanate of Oman,” Saleh bin Ali Al-Khaifi, Director of the Tourism Affairs Department, said.

To learn about traditional and global foods and enjoy cultural and recreational activities Organized within festival events, he added: “The festival is also an important platform to introduce cultural and heritage aspects, where it provides visitors the opportunity to taste the most famous Omani popular dishes with their rich flavours and enjoy the most delicious global cuisine, prepared by professional chefs from within.”
