Saint Lucia: The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre, has recently joined the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force during a Military Parade conducted to honour the forty-fourth (44th) Independence Anniversary of Saint Lucia.

Prime Minister Philip Pierre took to his official social media handle to extend his best wishes to his fellow Saint Lucians for the nation’s Independence Anniversary. He congratulated them in his Facebook caption, noting, “Happy Independence Day, Saint Lucia.”

According to his Facebook caption, PM Pierre shared his experience and joy for participating in the recently held military parade by the Saint Lucia police. He noted that he was honoured to be invited to the event to witness parades by which they expressed their pride and happiness for the Independence Anniversary celebrations.

In his remarks, he further shared the sense of pride he experienced and his observations from the glorious event; he penned down, “What a spectacular showcase at the Military Parade by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and the Uniformed Groups.”

Furthermore, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre, also shared several photographs and glimpses from the Military Parade. In such pictures, the PM was seen witnessing the parade with pride and honour. He also addressed the soldiers and officers of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force before the commencement of the parade.

The reports have confirmed that, on his arrival, Prime Minister was received and greeted by the top officials of the RSLPF following the celebration event. The police officers participating in the military parade were seen performing the march with the pride and respect they had towards their nation.

During the parade, several settings and formations were conducted by the officers of RSLPF, through which they extended their tribute to the country’s heroes and martyrs who have sacrificed for the nation.  

Moreover, on his part, Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, have also extended his greetings and congratulations to the Saint Lucians following the celebrations of the forty-fourth Independence Anniversary of the nation. He noted in his Facebook caption, “Happy 44th Independence Anniversary to our beloved island that we call home, Saint Lucia!”

He added, “Today is not only a day for celebration but also a reflection on where we have come from as a nation. It is also the right time for us to envision Saint Lucia for a better tomorrow, which we want to build for a better future. We are a resilient country, one nation moving forward as one.”
