Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew – The Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, has participated in the Wreath Laying Ceremony held yesterday, 30 April 2023, at 2:30 pm on the sidelines of the ongoing Labour Day Weekend Celebrations, 2023 in the country.
He extended his heartfelt tribute to the Late Comrade Comrade C.F Bryant, former Minister of Education and Minister of Health of St Kitts and Nevis, remembering his remarkable contributions towards the country.
According to the shared reports, Prime Minister Terrance Drew took to his official social media handle to share the news with St Kitts and Nevis citizens.
Through his Facebook caption, PM Drew also invited the people to attend the ceremony broadcasted live via the media channels of the government, such as YouTube and Facebook.
During the ceremony, he delivered his opening remarks. He noted that they gathered at the grave of the Late Comrade C.F Bryant, fallen Minister of Education and Minister of Health, to honor and acknowledge his lifetime achievements and good deeds that he had performed for his nation. “He was one of the foundation pillars of the primary health care system in the twin island federation,” The Prime Minister added.
He continued his dialogue and outlined that the Late comrade was also the Parliamentary Representative of Constituency number eight of St Kitts and Nevis and had significantly performed his duties and responsibilities towards the people.
In addition, “He was also an essential part of the cabinet of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) and Trade Labour Union (TLU) in establishing the Labour Movement,” he asserted.
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Terrance Drew, also noted that during his years of service, Late Comrade Comrade C.F Bryant played a vital role in laying a strong foundation for Social Transformation and Development.
While recalling all the works accomplished by the former Minister of Education and Health, the Late C.F Bryant, Prime Minister, said, “We must never ever forget the significant work done by him while serving his nation.”
At the Wreath Laying Ceremony, it was also pointed out by PM Terrance Drew that “As the organization, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) will further continue to recognize the essential contributions of the members who significantly played a role in the growth and development of the SKNLP party and St Kitts and Nevis.”
Prime Minister concluded his remarks and said that the contribution toward the betterment of St Kitts and Nevis has been tremendous as a whole and will be remembered forever.
Meanwhile, He visited the site to perform the Wreath Laying Ceremony, 2023, accompanied by a number of Cabinet Ministers, Ambassadors and Representatives of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP).
Furthermore, Prime Minister Terrance Drew recognized the presence of his fellow ministers at the Wreath Laying Ceremony, such as Deputy Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Geoffrey Hanley, along with senior Ministers such as Foreign Affair Minister Denzil Llewellyn Douglas, Public Utility Minister, Konris Maynard, and Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Samal Duggins along with other government officials, etc.
Prime Minister Terrance Drew welcomed his delegation and extended his heartiest thankfulness to his accompanying delegation, who joined him while opening tribute to the honorable personalities of St Kitts and Nevis, said the reports.
