Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi Police teams have recently participated in the World Games of Police and Fire held in Winnipeg, Canada and bagged 19 medals in several sporting events. The teams won 6 (six) gold, 6 (six) silver and 7 (seven) bronze medals at the start of their World Games journey in 2023.

According to recent information, The Director of the Police Sports Education Centre, Colonel Essam Abdullah Al Ali, confirmed that the players’ participation and their outstanding achievements represent the United Arab Emirates.

The teams competing at the events have also represented the identity of the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police with the participation of global groups from all police commandments worldwide.

In addition, it is clarified that Abu Dhabi police teams won gold medals in the first two days of the championship and were awarded by: Jaber Mansouri in a bicycle race (sprint category), Saif Mayouf in a bicycle race, Sultan Al-Zanhani in a half marathon (21.1 km individual), and Salam Gamal in a swimming race 50 meters chest). 

On the hand, it was also reported that other players also contributed to the win of the Abu Dhabi teams, including Sultan Al-Zanhani, Sari Al-Hammadi and Al-Shaali Hassan in the competition of the half marathon teams of 21.1 km, and Ali Al-Kaabi, Salem Gamal, Mohamed Al-Ghafry and Abdullah participate in the contest (following 100*4 free).

Moreover, Al-Shaali Hassan won silver medals in the half marathon (21.1 km individual), Jaber Mansouri in the cycling race (criterium), Sari Al-Hammadi in the half marathon (21.1 km individual), Saif Mayouf in the bicycle (criterium), Ahmed Al-Jahouri in the swimming race (100 meters freestyle), and Abdullah Al-Minhali in the swimming race. 100 meters butterfly).

In the same context, Abu Dhabi teams players further registered their presence in different sports whose names are mentioned as Faisal Al-Shahi won the bronze medal in the bicycle race (sprint), Mohamed Issa in the swimming (400 meters freestyle), Ali Al-Menhali in the swimming (100 meters butterfly), Ali Al-Kaabi in the swimming (Criterium). 

In the end, Muhammad Al-Ghafry, Muhammad Issa Ali Nasib, Ahmed Al-Jahouri in the swimming competition (50*4 free tracking), and Sultan Al-Zanhani in the half marathon competition (21.1 km total individual) were also highlighted.
