Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Security Media Department has conducted an opinion poll on the Abu Dhabi Police General Command and confirmed that dissemination of realistic traffic accidents contributes to boosting traffic culture and reducing dangerous behaviour for drivers on the roads of the Emirate.
As per the updates, the Security Media Department has also claimed that 92.7% of participants in the recently multilingual survey published across social media platforms supported the importance of Abu Dhabi Police videos in raising traffic culture and fostering positive behaviours of road users.
Major Muhammad Ali Al-Mahiri, Director of the Security Media Department, clarified that the Abu Dhabi Police, in cooperation with the Centre for Tracking and Control, aim to engage the public in traffic behaviours that cause traffic accidents by publishing videos of accidents that occurred on the roads of the UAE of Abu Dhabi.
He added: “Real-life incident videos published through the “You Comment” initiative since 2018 have proven effective in attracting public attention and interaction and reaching the largest possible segment of the targeted categories, especially road users, enhancing the credibility and impact of awareness messages of Abu Dhabi Police, which periodical opinion polls confirm.” For the “you comment” initiative.
Furthermore, it came to the Security Media Department to pay attention to disseminating accidents resulting from the most common causes, dangerous driving violations, on Emirates roads, such as sudden deviation of the vehicle, failure to maintain a safe distance, and driving on the shoulder of the road, which greatly contributed to the success of the initiative and its wide reach for road users.
The Security Media Department conducts periodic surveys to measure the effectiveness and impact of the diverse media materials it posts daily in order to improve and develop media content for Abu Dhabi Police accounts on social media platforms.
