UAE’s Billion Meals campaign to provide food, fight hunger in at least 50 nations

The United Arab Emirates today (April 2, 2022), Saturday, launched a "Billion Meals campaign," which aims to provide food to the needy ones and fight hunger in almost 50 countries across the globe.

Abu Dhabi, UAE: The United Arab Emirates today (April 2, 2022), Saturday, launched a “Billion Meals campaign,” which aims to provide food to the needy ones and fight hunger in almost 50 countries across the globe. 

Vice President as well as the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, its Minister of Defence, and the Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai – Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, enlighting about the initiative, tweeted, “With God’s blessing, we are launching today the Billion Meals campaign.. the largest campaign to feed food and fight hunger in fifty countries around the world.. Ramadan is the month of fasting in which we feel the suffering of 800 million people who go to bed hungry every day.”

Following the statement, he then added, “There is a real humanitarian crisis due to hunger and food security, and the campaign of one billion meals is its slogan. Those who are full and their neighbors believe in me. We have a billion noble humanitarian messages from the Emirates to the world.”  

He then also urged the general public of the United Arab Emirates to donate to secure meals for vulnerable communities in 50 countries. 

The citizens of the Middle East country commended this initiative taken by the government. 

One of the residents commented, “Emirates of peace Emirates of tolerance Emirates of giving Emirates of goodness and our sheikh and our elders are good and blessing.” 

“We thank God for the blessings, and we thank Him, and we ask God to provide for everyone and to enrich everyone with His blessings, and we thank God that I am from Dubai and that my sheikh is the great human being His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and he is a symbol of humanity, may God protect him and make him happy as we are the happiest and the happiest of people,” – Adnan Ghulam – another citizen cited.
