And in full Dubai style, you’ve got two fantastic options for where to end up, which are more likely to be announced over the coming days.

Where to watch the city’s best fireworks displays

  • Dubai Festival City Mall: Events take place on Sunday, October 23, at Dubai Festival City Mall, with the show starting at 8:30 pm.
  • Global Village: Celebrate the reopening of Global Village and Diwali from Tuesday, October 25, with various Bollywood shows on the Global Village main stage. It wouldn’t be Dubai without the optics, and this action-packed event will see fireworks lighting up the sky.

Diwali has become a go-to festival in Dubai, with dazzling displays across the city.

And if last year’s effort is anything to go by, we should be in for a treat.

The Burj Khalifa put on an incredible light show for the Indian festival, with the world’s tallest skyscraper illuminating Downtown Dubai in 2021.

But the fun didn’t stop there, as firework displays took place all over the city, most notably in Festival City, Global Village and Bluewaters Dubai.

Thousands of revellers flocked to celebrate the festival, celebrating the victory of good over evil and more are expected this year.

The message behind Diwali is that love prevails over evil as it attempts to eradicate dark shadows, negativity and doubt from our lives.
