Sadio Mane is blazing a trail as the highest-paid African player. He will earn £661,000 weekly and £34.37 million yearly tax-free at Al Nassr and is also expected to receive £8.6 million in bonuses based on his number of appearances. This makes him the highest Paid African Player and one of the World’s Highest Paid Players.

On Tuesday, the Saudi side Al-Nassr announced the signing of Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane. Senegalese joined the German club Bayern Munich last summer following a £35m move from Liverpool. But his campaign at German giant didn’t go well after he got involved in a brawl with Sadio Mane, his teammate in Bayern Munich.

During UCL quarterfinal in 2023, Mane punched Leroy-Sane after being defeated by Manchester City. Thomas Tuchel, German Football manager and head coach of Bayern Munich, says goodbye to Mane and has lifted the lid on his emotional goodbye to Sadio Mane.

He admitted that neither he nor Mane was pleased with how the Senegal talisman’s time in Germany ended, but also took some of the blame for his departure. Mane struggled in his time in Bavaria, scoring eleven times before the World Cup but just once after the big event, which he missed due to injury.

Saudi football fans are quite excited after Mane’s signing to AL Nassr. The forward will join Cristino Ronaldo and is expected to form the most lethal duo in RSL.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived in Saudi Arabia after leaving Manchester United on a mutual agreement, several big names have joined Saudi clubs, like Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Neves, Roberto Firmino and many more.

Sadio Mane’s former teammate at Liverpool, also joined Saudi Club Al-Ahli Saudi FC. They will face each other as rivals now. Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema, joined Al-Ittihad Club and will face each other this season.

These signings have made RSL quite attractive globally. Saudi is buying so many footballers to gain influence around the world and plans a bid to host the World Cup in 2030 together with Greece and Egypt.
