As per the investigation, the incident occurred in February, and the police got a call from the victims who reported the assault and theft.

The police officers instantly gathered a CID team to investigate and capture the culprits. The victims explained the whole incident to the police and stated that while they were inside their car in an area near Dubai Investment Park, one of the suspects approached them. He immediately got inside the car and sat in the backseat while talking to them.

After a few minutes, three more people came with knives, and one of them placed the knife in one of the victim’s neck and forced him to give the bag with cash that was kept beneath the driver’s seat.

The other two accused held his friend and started assaulting him. They took the bag with the cash and ran from the location.

The police, however, managed to locate two of the Chinese suspects who were getting arrested in the lobby of a hotel. The accused confessed their crime with the help of three others, two of whom were in Sharjah.

The police found the location of one of the Chinese and Malaysian in Sharjah and caught them, while the fifth one is still at large.
