Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols under the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police organized an exhibition to educate the public about traffic safety measures at the “Dalma Mall” centre in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Police informed that the event was organised in cooperation with Al-Fahim Car Group and within the fourth edition of the “Safe Summer” campaign, and the third quarterly campaign of the Ministry of Interior under the slogan “Your vehicle safety is your safety”.
Deputy Directorate of Traffic and Patrol Directorate, Major General Saif Hamad Al-Zaabi, confirmed the interest of Abu Dhabi Police in educating the public about taking preventive measures for vehicle safety, periodical maintenance of vehicles and ensuring safety of tires, and not increasing the load on vehicles to enhance the safety of drivers and their companions.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, the Emirates Continuity Foundation, the Emirates Company for Driving Education participated in the exhibition, the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols organized a variety of shows in the traffic educational theatre, and awareness films were broadcast on smart screens about the dangers of using bad tires.
The directorate presented the smart robot, where it provided traffic tips to the public, raised awareness by showing digital awareness videos, informed visitors about Child Patrol and its role in educating women traffic, as well as holding a drawing for children and organizing awareness competitions, and the Directorate of Drivers Licensing and Vehicles reviewed their services, how to get them, and working hours at 24/7 technical inspection stations and services Delivering vehicle plates to all the Emirates of the country, direct registration in car agencies, taking opinions and suggestions of the public in services, and raising awareness to children through children’s licenses, and participation included presenting educational competitions on stage, distributing educational brochures and electronic services awareness prints in the administration, according to the update shared by the Abu Dhabi Police.
The Directorate of the Anti-Drugs has made an awareness to the public about the program “Hope Opportunity” and its importance in promoting prevention and providing several facilities to encourage addiction patients to seek treatment, and the “Secret Safe” initiative which has achieved its positive reflections in the development of the anti-drug police system.
The Abu Dhabi Police Band presented a collection of its heritage tracks which attracted much interaction from visitors, and the K9 Security Inspection Department made interesting performances for police dogs.
The Literature and Reading Committee of Abu Dhabi Police participated in educating visitors about the initiative “With the touch of all, we read” emphasizing the importance of cognitive and cultural enrichment of readers and instilling a love of reading in young women and encouraging them to be creative and innovated, and conducted educational competitions for visitors of the gallery in “Dalma Mall” in its interest to promote reading culture among community members, develop their language skills and enrichment Their knowledge inventory and building an educated generation capable of taking responsibility in the future, according to foundations focused on knowledge and science.
The Emirates Continuity Foundation has provided awareness to the visitors of Dalma Mall through educational competitions on the importance of vehicle safety and its regular maintenance, especially in the summer time.
